Why?Why is it that I can only get an 'extended' version of the film 'The Happening' on DVD with 'scenes too shocking they couldn't be shown in the cinema', and not a version with the cut they did show in the cinema?
Why do they assume that everyone would want to see a more gory version? I, for one, liked the fact that a lot of the gore in the cinema version was implied rather than shown full on.
Fair enough have an extended version for those who want it, but have a 'cinema' version too for the rest of us. To the producers and that's one sale they've lost.

I might have to. I'm wondering if the 2 disc version has both 'cuts' on it, but does it actually tell you on any website what is on the two discs - no. But then it will annoy me that I have to stump up about £3 extra just to get what I want. Bah.
