As far as I'm aware it's not been chosen yet, but I could be wrong! There is another Doctor in the Christmas ep, but that's David Morrissey.
I know who I'd like to see as the Doctor, but most have them have already had parts in the recent series so it's unlikely - such as Simon Pegg (who I think would be fab) and Tony Head. |

Apparently Robert Carlyle WAS a major contender, but as he's been nabbed to star in the new Stargat: Universe series, that's a no go, and also why Russell T davies has been bad-mouthing Stargate... | ||

Well, we know that DT is doing four specials next year before he retires, so the other Doctor in the Christmas ep won't be taking over then (even if it is him, which I think would be too obvious). TBH I'm not convinced that the other doctor in the Christmas ep actually is the Doctor, as he could only be a future doctor and he doesn't seem to recognise DT in the clips I've seen, which surely he would if it were an earlier version of himself? |

The only thing I've seen him in was The Ruby and The Smoke, and he was ok in that. He's a bit young for my liking, but I'm willing to give him a chance - after all I really wasn't convinced when they announced DT was taking over, and look how he turned out!
At least it isn't Ricky Gervais! |
