V remakeDunno if you other sci-fi fans know, but they're doing a remake of 'V' that should be on TV next year some time. I saw it advertised in one of the ad breaks in Warehouse 13 last night, although I'd heard about it before too.
Apparently Alan Tudyk and Morena Baccarin are both in it, as is the guy who was the main character in The 4400 (who's name momentarily escapes me - but I spotted him in the ad last night).

Yep, i'd heard.
I wish they'd stop mucking about with/remaking things that should be best left alone.
I loved the original V

I loved the original too (well the two mini series' anyway, the TV series after wasn't so good).
I'd prefer they come up with some more original stuff, but if it's a good remake I'll watch it. I'm wondering how close to the original it will be, although at least the special effects will be a vast improvement now .

Valid point
And yes, the mini-series was excellent !

V is one of my obsessions. The new series was originally supposed to be a 20-years-on thing (hence the book) but they changed their minds. I really, really need this to be good.

I think I'd definitely prefer a remake of the original to a '20 years on thing' - so long as it's done well that is!
