TorchwoodThe new 'series' every night next week on BBC1 at 9.00 pm.

Still huffy about that.

The jury's out, I have to say. It may turn out to be very good, but it's still annoying that it's only 5 episodes.
I need to do a bit of juggling with my Sky+ recordings and make use of a couple of the +1 channels, but at least I won't have any double clashes.

Already set up for it
5 episodes is sucky tho

They had to stick it on at the same time as everything else, though, didn't they?

I can't actually Sky + it yet, 'coz I'm getting a new HD box on Tuesday, so would be a bit pointless really.

Nobody else has commented yet, but I think this has been bloody brilliant.
It's put all the previous series of Torchwood to shame.

It has been really good, although last night was upsetting. It's just a shame it's only 5 episodes.

Why were there no warnings on this?
You know you sometimes get 'This programs contains scenes some viewers may find upsetting?'
I thought it was brillant but one of the most horrific, harrowing things I've seen in a long time.
REALLY enjoyed this tho, and I've always been a bit meh about Torchwood.
Gwen raised a valid point tho, why does Jack always go to the aid of The Doctor, but The Doctor doesn't seem to help Jack when he really needs it?

It was very harrowing! And it's looking like it might be the last series too as Russel T Davies is sodding off to the US (so much for him leaving Doctor Who so he could concentrate on Torchwood!).

Apparently, James Marsters has said he'll be reprising the Torchwood character, so maybe all is not lost.
We recorded it, and watched in over two days. Excellent, although I do have one major complaint. If we're going to keep losing characters, why is it never Gwen? Or her bloody husband?

DON'T get me started. I haven't said anything before now 'coz I didn't want to spoil it, but seriously. I HATE Gwen, I've always hated Gwen and they have killed every single other character (repeatedly in the case of Jack)
Also, Jack 'regrew' from the bits of him that they found, so surely that means new Jack's could reform from all the bits of him that got scattered, even if it was a toenail.

Yes, that was rather lame. Maybe it was because the head was there.
It was better for being after the watershed, though.

Oh crap, I never thought about there being bits of Jack left. Really hope they don't go down a 'two Jacks' route with the story.
Gwen mildly annoys me, but not too much (except when she was having the fling with Owen). Owen was the only character I was glad to see the back of.

I was heartbroken when they killed Ianto, he was so sweet.

I missed this as I was away on holiday.
Did someone say James Marsters?

By the way, Ianto's not dead - my sister was in the pub with him last night.

Do you mean someone else called Ianto or the guy who plays him (who's name escapes me at the moment)? if it was the second one!
I'm planning on having a Torchwood session this afternoon. I decided I'm having a complete relaxing day for my first days holiday, so I'm going to spend the afternoon re watching Torchwood (I've still got it all Sky+d).

The second one. And he recognised her, too.
