I joined coz of that rat in the Santa hat at the top. Is awesome.
I myself, have no rats but i do have a pet plant. I call him Gary.

From what I remember (tho it was about a billion years ago) if you used the flash, it would actually help his chlorophyll 'coz plants use light in photosyntheisis and blah blah blah blah.

yeah they do need light to make the chlorophyll, but i think it might be only natural light that helps them!

Just out of interest, what kind of plant is Gary??He's not one of those temperamental ones that die if you forget to water them once (every plant I've owned has been that type...even my cacti!!)

Hello and welcome, it sounds like you'll fit in round here just fine! I used to have a leopard plant called Herman that stayed with me all through college. But then I do have a bad habit of randomly naming inanimate objects I own (my car is called Dougal  ).

Im exactly the same.
I dont necessarily name them, but i do talk to inanimate objects sometimes just to freak out whoever's watching.
Gary is an Aloe Vera plant.
Those things survive anything, and that jelly stuff is dead useful, cures almost anything!
