Pleae welcome AeschylusNamed after an ancient greek playwrite who on his last visit to Sicily visiting the city of Gela he died in 456 or 455 BC. As legend has it, an eagle, mistaking the playwright's bald crown for a stone, dropped a tortoise on his head (though some accounts differ, claiming it was a stone dropped by an eagle or vulture that mistook his bald head for the egg of a flightless bird)

As for the Torty Mum loves him... yes Mr P did borrow that but we couldnt member if it was that the character has one on his head or is paranoid one will fall?!
Sarah - We didn't get him a vivarium cos all the books and the Breeder said NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! LOL
we got him from Thetortoisehop.com he is a Horsfield - The deluxe package is what we got and the people are so lovely and friendly and funny.. cos after he arrived she rang to check all was ok and we said yup, we had just brushed him off tho cos he had kicked mud everywhere in his little travel box so she told us to give him a bath luke warm water and a nice fluffy towel she said to us! and he loved it.... when mum dried him she was stroking his chin and he really stretched up for it!
