Motown gigWhilst nowhere near on a par with the rock evenings, it was enjoyable. This is the music I grew up to so was a priviledge to see the Miracles (inc. 1 original who sat on a chair and let the new ones do the dancing - bless); Martha Reeves (looking great for 71  ); Jnr Walker & the Allstars and Mary Wilson.
None of us were fussed about the Commodores (don't think of them as Motown at all) so were leaving whilst they were on. As a result we bumped into the saxophonist from the Allstars and Mary Wilson so asked for photos  . Took one of Mark and Mary then he kissed her on the cheek She was so gracious and said "fresh thing isn't he" ... so now Mark is known as the Fresh Prince of Bolsover 
I've told him he's deeply honoured as not many can say they've kissed an original Supreme
