Im a new ratty chatterer!!

Hello there!

Im new to ratchat so im still familiarising myself with it all!! Just a bit about myself; i have one verrry lively female rat called Bettie (after bettie paige the 50's pin up girl...im very fond of the 50's era and music!! so would be extra gr8 to hear from any other rockin / rockabilly rattie fans!!!!). Im 29, single mummy and a volunteer at a local kennel! Currently unemployed but always got my eye out!!
Love going to gigs and pubs and having a laugh and a giggle....be lovely to hear from similar peeps!!......Liz xxx

Hello, welcome!

Have you thought about getting your little girlie a friend? They tend to do much better with company of their own species and rat piles are very toasty
Lizzie-rat

I once did get Bettie a friend, and introduced them well etc. They were fine for a couple of days then one night i woke up to the sounds of a really nasty rat fight and hed to seperate them and rehome the other one cos there wasnt enuff enuff space, sadly....
Rat piles?? please explain?? Im not new to rats but new to the terminology on here lol x

howdy lizzie n good on you for helpin the needy pups! I also work with them but I'm a long way away from you.. possibly the only one not in the uk?? feels like I'm the only one down here..  congrats to lynsay & partner, must be very excited to meet your lil one,
do you know if its a boy or a girl you will be greeting?  rat piles are one of the best things ever   they make awsome hand warmers! My piles are tiny as my two girls don't seem to like sleeping together much , but now its winter here they might start to ruggle up more.
Dragonrat

Hello there. I was away last week when you joined, I'm usually the one posting the most crap.
Rats do squabble, and the noise that comes from my boys cage some night you'd think they was killing each other, but you shouldn't really have given up so quickly as rats do def benefit from the company of others.
