"IT" OK mystery sort of solved but the truth is weI swear to god I remember the film starting with Bill being at home and getting a phone call about the murder - i remember him having a flashback to the death of his brother..... and I'm sure the one that was the fat kid he was out drunk getting an award?!?!? wasnt he?!?!?
cos mine just started with Bill arriving at the graveyard and his brothers grave... and then going to the library?!?!? i'm sure I'm missing least 20odd minutes....... also wasnt there a scene with Bev having a punch up with her hubbie etc

Yes on all counts. Bill is with Audra when he gets the call, Beverley's husband takes his belt to her (again) and Bill is getting an architecture award.

it's missing the whole bit with George and his boat when he meets Pennywise in the storm drain and then with Jonathon Brandis (RIP) looking at photos and the book bleeds and i am sure there was more to how they became a group and friends etc... WOW I must be missing about half an hour of film!!!

bought and freaky cos i just tried it again upstairs on my dvd player and it started where i stopped it downstairs.......... and wont go any further back, or show up in scene selection - *dodododo dodododo*

It's probably 'coz it was a T.V mini series and sometimes they condense them when transferring to disc.

played it on laptop and it started from beginning and i could find the chapters properly etc!!! isnt it odd

OK - i noticed just now that the DVD has no writng or pciture.. (ya know a big pic on one side so ya know what way round to put it in...)
Well mine is just plain - a little bit of writing but not much and it's round the centre...
BUT i noted that when you hold it up to the light you can see that it's burnt both sides.... so i tried it - one side is perfect and is the film:
The other side is screwed and this is the menu..
