Don't you find it scarily worrying, though? I've read ne of the books he cites in his bibliography, and most of it is based on actual cases.

Okay. No point ever reading this book then.
Is it one of his very technical books? 'Coz I find them very heavy going.

It's very readable, actually. As a story, it's not particularly good; more like a load of short stories with a base theme that he's shoved together to make a full length book. But it's compulsive once you start, is it not, Liz?

Yes - very good.... Methinks that its a bit cheeky with the Parrot tho cos that is kinda ripped straight from that Kids film Paulie..

But Oh I'm loving this book.... one of my dreams has always been the Ornag sanctuary in Borneo - methinks after reading this book i;ll be disappointed if I dont get sworn at

Oh and it's technical in a very readable funny way.. the journal clippings and newspaper bits on some pages are good and others you just dont read also I have always been able to phase out abbreviations in books except what worries me is I know some of these ones...

Makes me wanna go re-read all his other books now... so once this is done I'm starting back at Jurassic park (which if they had stuck to the book would have made a MUCH better film)

That's one of my soap boxes, be warned. I was devastated at the way they cut it down into a kid's film.

Never actualy read the JP book. Take it that its good then??

But then they did the same with flowers in the attic!! They made it "veiwable" for ages who really shouldnt be watching a movie that contained the issues that the book did. Anyone who has not read this...READ IT! Also My Sweet Audrina, also Virginia Andrews!

Jurassic Park is excellent. They killed it with the film.

Well, having read this other book by a lawyer (The Clone Age; very readable) I can't really reassure you that any of it's fiction. The main 'good' thing that I found was that the case which was the inspiration for the people chasing the mother and son down (trying not to give too much away) didn't get quite as far as it does in the book. Mind you, Clone Age is ten years old, so gods know what's developed since! I want to get hold of more of her writings, and also more of the books in his bibliography. It's worried me so much that I need to know more.

Ooh, picked that up in the market down in Wales when mam was in hospital. Very good - by Sven someone-or-other? Only complaint was that it's a bit heavy for holding up with one hand when reading in bed!
